When you're a kid, a snow day is everything. It's what you hope for all year. You hope that when you wake up, your mom has been watching the news and found out that your school is closing for the day. You know you're in store for a day full of fun. You're going to make snow angels at the park. You're going to drink hot chocolate. You're going to watch a cozy Christmastime movie. And most importantly, you're going to be so happy you're not at school. Snow days are fewer and farther between as an adult. We're expected to be where we're supposed to be, no matter what the weather. 

But that doesn't stop the snow from being what it is. It makes it hard to get to work. And it makes it dangerous. If you have the type of job that could be done from home, then it's probably not worth the risk. But that doesn't stop companies from being their greedy selves and wanting to squeeze as much out of you as possible. That's what happened in this story.
